Hi! I’m Amanda. I am a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Child and Family Health Nurse, Pediatric Continence Nurse, and lover of sleep consultations. I know there are lots of people who say they are “sleep consultants” out there, but I have not done a two-hour course online, I have done university training, 20 years of professional learning, and thousands of sleep consultations.

I have helped families solve their exhausting sleep struggles, I trained at Queensland’s Residential Sleep School, 20 years ago and have loved my job of helping families with sleep ever since. I know how poor sleep impacts not only the child’s physical and mental health but also the impact upon the parent’s mental and physical health.

Sleep impacts all parts of our lives and is impacted by all parts of our life. That is why it can feel confusing and overwhelming. That is why you need Thriving Families to help see the bigger picture of diet, environment, mental health, and sleep associations, and how these impact sleep.

Most people will spend hours reading books, blogs, forums, and googling for answers. But the answers are not there as every child is unique and has unique needs that need to be met before sleep can occur. I will take all the confusion out, and create a plan that is specific to you and your child’s unique needs. I will give you the ongoing support you need to successfully implement the plan, and in a few days to weeks, you will see changes.

I have a wealth of knowledge about infant growth and development, sleep, behaviour and discipline, diet, and nutrition. I have a special interest in infant attachment, infant mental health, and whole family wellness.
