Meet Amanda Carmody
Director of Thriving Families,
Registered Nurse & Midwife
Child Health Nurse & Peadiatric Continence Nurse.
For the past 20 years my career has been working with children and families. After training to become a midwife I was very fortunate to be offered a training position at Queensland Healths specialist Residential Sleep Unit (Riverton) and I quickly realised that my true passion lay in community health nursing; promoting wellness and preventing disease and problems.
As a mother of four children I understand that every child is an individual. Therefore the parent-child relationship is unique for every family. What works for one family may not work for another. I enjoy working with families to help them find their unique solutions, promoting the parent and child bond, as I think this is key to a respectful, loving, nurturing relationship.
